Arrival - Algiers
Arrive in the historic city of Algiers and transfer to the hotel. If you have a morning arrival, your local guide will take you on a downtown walking tour including the Grande Poste, the port, and historic mosques. Then, if you have time, head up to the picturesque view from the Basilica Notre Dame d’Afrique. Accommodation Options: 3, 4, 5-star

Algiers - Tipaza - Tomb of the Christian - Annaba

After breakfast, you will depart for the UNESCO World Heritage Roman site of Tipaza. This is arguably one of the most stunning Roman cities in North Africa. Walk down the ancient Roman road beside the clear Mediterranean Sea and get a glimpse of what it would have been like to live in this Roman settlement thousands of years ago. On your way back to Algiers, stop at the pyramid-like structure of the Tombeau de la Chrétienne (royal mausoleum of Mauritania). Finally, return to Algiers for an evening flight to Annaba. Annaba - Constantine
Start the day with a trip to the Annaba museum, the site of Hippo Regius, and the Cathedral of St. Augustine.  Explore large Roman mosaics and antiques found in the region that are displayed at the museum. The archaeological site hosts a large Roman forum and the famous, ‘Basilica of Peace’ where St. Augustine was bishop in the 5th century. The Catholic Cathedral of St. Augustine, built between 1881 and 1900, is located on top of a hill overlooking the site. Visit the Cathedral and pay particular attention to the stained glass windows that retell Augustine’s life story. In the afternoon travel to Constantine for the night. Constantine

After breakfast travel to the hillside Roman site of Tiddis, which offers excellent views over the surrounding region. You will begin by walking the Roman road through a triumphal arch, to the sanctuary of Mithras. Explore its winding roads, aged homes built into caves, and its unique basilica. After, return back to Constantine for a city tour. Constantine is an incredibly unique city, split in half by a massive canyon, the Rhumel Gorge. You will definitely want to walk over the Sidi M'Cid Bridge which was once the highest suspension bridge in the world at 175 meters. If time remains, explore the museum of Cirta, explore the local Kasbah, and the Palace of Ahmed Bey. Accommodation Options: 3, 4, 5-star

Constantine - Timgad - Lambaesis - Batna
You will want to get an early start today to travel south to the unforgettable archaeological sites of Timgad and Lambaesis. Before you reach Timgad stop at Medracen (Ancient Numidian Tomb), which is 58 meters in diameter and 19 meters tall. Spend the afternoon at the UNESCO site of Timgad, founded by Emperor Trajan in AD100. This is one of the best-preserved Roman cities in North Africa. Here you will discover its library, amphitheater, temples, the Arch of Trajan, and its city forum. Afterward, if you have more time in the day, you will visit the large Roman legionary at Lambaesis. Batna - Djemila - Setif

Begin the day with a drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Djemila, which means ‘Beautiful’ in Arabic. Certainly, the site lives up to its name, uniquely situated in the rolling hills of the Algerian countryside. Start the tour in the museum to see the impressive mosaics. Your guided tour of the site will take you to the forum, basilicas, baptisteries, Arch of Caracalla, the still-standing Temple des Septimes, and one of the world’s best-preserved Roman markets. Your next stop will be the city of Setif and if time remains take a guided tour through the Museum of Archaeology in Setif and see the grand mosaic called ‘The Triumph of DionysosAccommodation Options: 3, 4, 5-star

Setif - Algiers

Algiers' Botanical Garden

Today you will return to Algiers in the morning (via the road or domestic flight). If you haven’t already, you will start with a tour of Algiers’ Kasbah. You may also visit some local museums such as the Bardo Museum, and the Museum of Archaeology and Islamic Art. Each of which are well worth a visit! Accommodation Options: 3, 4, 5-star

Departure - Algiers
If you have time before your flight, you will take a guided city tour of the Monument to the Martyr, the beautiful Botanical Garden of Algiers, or any other renowned city sites you’ve missed. Finally, your guide will take you to the airport for your departure flight.
